Frequently Asked Questions About Individual, Group & Family Travel Insurance

I am travelling with my child. Should I get group or family travel insurance?

If your travel party consists of only you(parent) and your child, we recommend choosing our family plan insurance. You can include up to 4 children who are aged between 15 days and 18 years old or until 24 years old if they are in full-time tertiary education. If you are travelling with just your spouse and no children, our individual and group travel insurance plans will offer greater savings than the family plan.

Still unsure which insurance type best suits your needs? Reach out to us and our specialists will provide personalised guidance on plan comparisons and recommendations.

How are the insurance premiums calculated?

We calculate travel insurance premiums based on several factors such as trip duration, destination, number of travellers, and your chosen level of coverage. If you opt for one of our optional benefits — extreme sports and activities, sports equipment, and maid coverage — the premium amount will be adjusted and calculated accordingly. Get quotes for our individual, group, and family travel insurance to get started.

I want to go hiking or skiing during my trip. Are these covered under my policy?

If you are interested in participating in extreme sports, we recommend opting for our extreme sports and activities optional benefit! With this add-on as part of your travel insurance plan, you will be covered for any action or adventure sport that involves a high degree of risk. Kindly note that the extreme sports optional benefit is only available under our annual travel policy.

Examples of the extreme sports we cover are skiing, snowboarding, hiking up to 4,000m in altitude. Learn more about the activities covered by visiting our optional benefits page or contacting us.
