Your Voyager cover, extended to active travel

Adventure Cover doesn't add a separate layer of insurance — it extends the protection you already have under the Voyager plan to cover injuries and emergencies that may happen during the activities listed below. The same cover limits apply.

Medical expenses overseas
Treatment for injuries during a covered activity — hospital stays, surgery, emergency dental, and TCM — is covered the same way as any other medical claim.

Up to $500,000

Emergency evacuation and repatriation
If you need to be moved to a better-equipped hospital abroad or brought home to Singapore after an incident during a covered activity, evacuation and repatriation costs are covered.

Up to $1,000,000

Accidental death and permanent disability
If an accident during a covered activity results in death or a permanent total disability, the full benefit is paid to you or your legal representative.

Up to $300,000

Compassionate visit
If you’re hospitalised overseas for 5 or more continuous days and you’re travelling alone, we cover one family member’s travel and accommodation to be with you.

What you need to know

Adventure Cover is straightforward. There are three conditions — meet all three and you’re covered.

Use a licensed operator
The activity must be run by a reputable and licensed operator — regulated by local requirements, with proper safety equipment and adequate supervision. Most recognised tour operators and activity providers will meet this standard.
Follow the safety instructions
You must follow all safety instructions, health and safety guidelines, and regulations given by the operator. Listen to your guide, wear the right gear, take reasonable precautions and follow the brief you’re given.
Keep it leisure, not competitive
The activity must be for personal leisure. Entering a race, competing in a tournament, or participating as a professional or sponsored athlete falls outside the scope of this cover.

A few things worth understanding before you add this cover

Adventure Cover is designed for leisure activities operated by a reputable and licensed operator. Here's what's included and what sits outside the scope of this optional add-on cover.

What Adventure Cover addsWhat falls outside this cover

Injuries from covered activities — Medical, evacuation, disability and compassionate visit cover applies to incidents during any listed activity.

All leisure trips within the policy year — For annual policies, Adventure Cover applies to every eligible trip once added.

The same high limits as your chosen policy limit — $500,000 medical and $1,000,000 evacuation, now extended to adventure activities.

Group tours with activity components — If your tour includes a covered activity run by a licensed operator, you’re covered for that component.

Competitive or professional participation — Competitions, races, tournaments, or activities where you receive income or sponsorship.

Trekking above 4,000 metres — No cover for high-altitude trekking beyond 4,000m, regardless of operator or conditions.

Activities not on the covered list — If the activity isn’t listed, it isn’t covered. If you’re unsure, call us before you travel.

Pre-existing medical conditions — As with the base Voyager plan, any condition you were already aware of before the trip is outside the scope of cover.

Common questions about Adventure Cover

Do I need Adventure Cover if I’m just snorkelling?

Snorkelling in shallow, calm water is covered under the base Voyager policy. If you’re using a breathing apparatus or going below the surface, that moves into scuba diving territory — which does require you to purchase the Adventure Cover to be covered. When in doubt, call us to confirm.

I’m going on a ski trip but only plan to ski a few days. Do I still need it?

Yes — skiing is not covered under the base plan regardless of how many days you ski. Adventure Cover needs to be added before your trip begins. If you’re going to a ski resort, add it when you buy your policy.

My tour includes white water rafting. Is this covered under Adventure Cover?

Yes, provided the rafting operator is a reputable and licensed operator— with proper safety equipment, local licensing, and adequate supervision. This requirement is typically satisfied when booking through a recognised tour company. Keep a record of the operator details in case you need to support a claim.

Does Adventure Cover apply to the whole trip or just during the activity?

Adventure Cover extends your cover specifically to accidents that occur during a covered leisure activity. Everything else on your Voyager plan — trip cancellation, baggage, travel delays — applies throughout your entire trip.

Can I add Adventure Cover after I’ve already departed?

For single trip policies, it needs to be added at purchase. For annual policies, you can add it before any individual trip begins — but not once you’ve already departed. If you’re planning an active trip coming up, add it before you fly.

My activity isn’t on the list — am I covered?

If it’s not listed, it’s not covered under Adventure Cover. If you’re planning something specific and want to check, call us on +65 6665 5555 — it’s worth a quick conversation rather than finding out at the wrong moment.
