Choose your cancellation cover
Set your limit to match your trip
Trip cancellation cover is adjustable on every Voyager policy. You choose the limit so you only pay for the level of protection your trip needs.
Adjust your cancellation limit up to $20,000
A weekend trip to Batam doesn’t need the same cancellation cover as a two-week family holiday to Europe. Set the limit that reflects the cost of your actual bookings, including flights, hotels, tours, and prepaid experiences. Trip cancellation cover limits can be selected from $1,000 to $20,000 per traveller when you get a quote

Single trip cover is a good fit if…
Single trip is the simpler, more flexible choice for most travellers. Here are the situations where it’s the right call.
| You travel fewer than 3 times a year If you travel once or twice a year, Single Trip cover is usually more cost-effective than Annual Trip cover. You only pay for the cover you need for that journey. | You have a specific trip planned If you already know where you’re going and when you’re travelling, Single Trip cover keeps things simple. Choose your destination, travel dates, and trip cancellation cover limit, then you’re ready to go. | Your trip has significant prepaid costs Flights, hotels, tours, concerts, and event tickets can be expensive to replace if plans change unexpectedly. Choosing the right trip cancellation cover limit helps protect the prepaid costs of your trip.. |
| You’re travelling with family All travellers — adults, children, and seniors — are covered at the same cover limits under the Voyager plan. No reduced limits for younger or older family members. | Your trip includes adventure activities Add the Adventure Cover optional cover to extend your overseas medical cover and emergency evacuation benefits to skiing, diving, bungee jumping, and more than 20 leisure activities. | You travel often? Consider annual instead Three or more trips a year? Annual Trip cover is typically cheaper per trip and removes the need to remember to buy cover before each journey. |

How it works
A few important things to know before you buy
These are the practical details that are worth knowing upfront rather than at claim time.
- Buy before you leave Singapore
The policy needs to be in place before your trip starts — cover begins when you leave your home or workplace. If you’re buying close to departure, sort it before you head out the door. - Your trip needs to start and end in Singapore
Single Trip cover applies to round trips that begin and end in Singapore. Cover ends up to 2 hours after you clear immigration on your return, or on your policy end date, whichever comes first. - Maximum 90 consecutive days per trip
Single trip cover applies for trips up to 90 consecutive days. If you need more time, contact us before your policy expires to arrange an extension — don’t wait until you’re already over the limit. - For cancellation and postponement cover, buy at least 72 hours before you fly
Trip cancellation and postponement cover only applies if you buy your policy at least 72 hours before departure. All other benefits, including overseas medical cover, travel delay, and baggage cover, apply once your policy is purchased.
It’s usually best to arrange your insurance when you book your trip, rather than just before departure. - Optional benefits must be added when you buy your policy
Adventure Cover, Sports Equipment Cover, Special Events Cover, and Rental Car Excess Cover must be selected when you purchase your Single Trip plan. You won’t be able to add them later, so it’s worth thinking about what your trip involves before getting a quote. - Transits are covered for up to 72 hours
If your itinerary includes a transit stop, you’ll be covered there for up to 72 hours as long as you remain within the airport transit area.
If you leave the airport or stay longer than 72 hours, that destination must be included in your policy for cover to apply.
Optional benefits

FAQ
Common questions about single trip cover
Can I buy single trip travel insurance after I’ve already left Singapore?
No. Your Voyager Single Trip plan must be purchased before your trip begins from Singapore. Once you’ve departed, you won’t be able to buy cover for that journey.
Can I extend my policy if I decide to stay longer?
Yes — as long as you contact us before the policy end date and there’s nothing you’re aware of that might lead to a claim. Call us on 6665 5555 or email before your policy expires. One thing to keep in mind: if a medical condition has come up before the extension is confirmed, it may be treated as pre-existing under the extended period.
Is there a minimum lead time before I can buy the policy?
No minimum lead time applies for the policy itself — you can buy cover right up until departure. However, trip cancellation and postponement cover only applies if you purchase your policy at least 72 hours before your scheduled departure time. If you buy within that period, overseas medical cover, travel delay, and baggage cover will still apply from the time of purchase.
The easiest approach is to buy your travel insurance when you book your trip.
Does single trip cover work for multi-destination trips?
Yes. If you’re travelling to multiple destinations on the same trip, make sure all destinations are included when you get a quote.
All listed destinations will be covered under the same journey, so you won’t need separate policies for each country.
How many people can be covered under one single trip policy?
Up to 9 travellers can be covered under one Voyager Single Trip plan.
When getting a quote, simply select the number of adults, children, and seniors travelling together. Cover limits apply equally to all travellers, with no reduced limits for children or seniors.
What’s the difference between single trip and annual travel insurance?
A Single Trip plan covers one specific journey with fixed departure and return dates. An Annual Trip plan covers unlimited trips over 12 months, with each trip lasting up to 90 consecutive days. If you travel three or more times a year, an Annual Trip cover is typically more cost-effective — and means you never have to remember to buy cover before each trip.
Can I cancel my policy if my plans change before I travel?
Yes. You can cancel your Voyager Single Trip plan before the start of the insurance period by giving us notice of cancellation. Once the trip has started, or if a claim has been made, there will be no premium refund. If you’re unsure whether to cancel or extend your policy, give us a call on 6665 5555 and we’ll be happy to help.
