DirectAsia.com’s very own cycling team – Team Direct Asia – has been raising its profile across Asia in recent weeks, putting in some great performances from Manila to Taiwan.
The weekend of the 21st of April saw Team Direct Asia take on stiff competition together with unrelenting temperatures in the Philippines, while another contingent from DirectAsia.com took part in the Tour of HK on the same weekend.
Just to keep our riders on their toes, the sweltering Philippines’ summer weather system was swapped for chillier, wetter weather in Taiwan this weekend past, as they participated in the Tour of East Taiwan (20th/21st April).
But the action doesn’t stop there. Our riders will be featuring in races across South East Asia over the coming months…
– Tour of Friendship (Thailand) – April 27th to May 1st
– Tataka Race (Taiwan) May 19th
– Batam 6 Bridges (Indonesia) May 25th
– Tour of Cebu (Philippines) June 1st-2nd
With the ambition of building Hong Kong’s top elite amateur cycling program, Team Direct Asia has been putting in some fantastic performances recently, despite some challenging weather conditions. We’re delighted to say that all of our riders made it through safely in Taiwan and are looking forward to Thailand’s Tour of Friendship on April 27th.
You can keep a close watch on the team’s progress by visiting their dedicated Facebook page, where you’ll find the latest photos from Taiwan as well as previous events. But we’ll be featuring more of Team Direct Asia’s pan-Asian adventures right here on this blog – so watch this space!
