Assistant Manager, Customer Care

Our Customer Care Team comprises over 30 Customer Care Specialists in a contact center environment where we place strong emphasis on Acquisition, Retention and Customer Service with the desire to deliver world class customer experience.

As a member of the Singapore leadership team, the Assistant Manager, Customer Care is a critical player in our Singapore business, responsible for delivering over half our sales and delivering Superb Service. We are looking for a proactive, passionate, performance-driven leader to assist in managing the call centre and works with a dynamic team to devise and implement business growth strategy. At DirectAsia Insurance, we believe in bringing a happier insurance experience and this role involves leading and inspiring a large team to deliver our brand promise to our customers.

Your responsibilities are:

  • To achieve top line KPIs including, but not limited to, sales, service, productivity and quality;
  • To deliver quality sales conversion for new and renewal business, execute according to Contact Centre operation strategy to align with business objectives;
  • To lead and inspire a team of 10+ people to facilitate daily processes such as handling policy purchases, renewal and general enquiries, delighting our customers by delivering consistently high CSAT and NPS scores;
  • To understand and identify customers' feedback in a systematic manner;
  • To contribute to a highly motivated working environment and be the champion of our values BOLD, BRIGHT & DIRECT;
  • To build and lead a capable team with excellent team spirit and empower team members to achieve both personal and business goals;
  • To assist the Head, Customer Care to plan, document and implement programs of continuous transformation to introduce 360 performance across all dimensions and operational efficiency;
  • To work closely with senior management and other internal stakeholders to review business performance, deliver sales & marketing campaign execution, and ensure Contact Centre operations are compliant with all prevailing laws and regulations;
  • To manage complaint cases escalated from industry regulators, support the team to handle customer complaints and devise service recovery strategies.

You should possess:

  • The ability to build, manage and lead a diverse team. There will be a need for you to coach and train team members to drive performance and ownership;
  • Knowledge in manpower management (planning, rostering and acquisition), implementing, improving and revising telephony systems and experience in project management;
  • The competency to understand operational processes and how to optimise them;
  • The ability to adapt, be flexible and drive change. You must be able to bring people with you through transformation;
  • The ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicts;
  • At least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, any field;
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position;
  • A specialization in Sales - Telesales/Telemarketing or equivalent.
  • Full-Time position(s) available.

Customer Care Specialist (Sales)

Like insurance, we understand that job descriptions can sometimes be confusing. So just as what we’ve done with our insurance plans, we keep our job descriptions simple too!

Direct Asia is looking for a Customer Care Specialist to join our Customer Care team (based in Singapore) and be our voice to the Singapore market.

If you have a flair and passion for sales, and delight in making your customers happy, we would love to hear from you!

You will be required to:

  • Actively promote and sell our insurance products;
  • Provide a consistently high level of service to our customers;
  • Effectively handle complaints at the first point of contact, aiming to resolve situations in an effective and efficient manner;
  • Participate in process improvement sessions, providing constructive feedback and suggestions.

It'll be great if you possess:

  • 2 to 3 years of sales experience;
  • BCP & PGI certification (we welcome applicants without these certifications too!);
  • An appreciation for team-based environment.

Customer Care Specialist (Service)

Like insurance, we understand that job descriptions can sometimes be confusing. So just as what we've done with our insurance plans, we keep our job descriptions simple too!

Direct Asia is looking for proactive individuals to be "The Voice" of Direct Asia; someone who has passion in providing great service and delighting customers.

You'll be required to:

  • Deliver our brand promise at all times and provide consistent levels of service to our customers;
  • Accurately recommend products and solutions based on customers' needs and requirements;
  • Effectively handle complaints and strive to resolve situations to customers' satisfaction;
  • Handle all inquiries and requests according to our policies and procedures (strive for first call resolutions);
  • Encourage customers to provide feedback from their experiences with Direct Asia;
  • Actively participate in process improvement sessions, providing constructive feedback and suggestions;
  • Ensure timely and accurate upkeep of records within systems;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

It'll be great if you possess:

  • At least 3 years of customer service experience;
  • BCP and PGI certification (we welcome applicants without these certifications as well);
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry;
  • Strong communication skills.
