Road Safety Campaign
At DirectAsia.com we believe in being an integral part of the Singapore community and in trying to make a positive difference to people's lives.
To do this we will be championing a selection of good causes and campaigns throughout the year where we can make a real contribution.
To kick off our social responsibility strategy we have launched a major road safety campaign. Shocking police statistics show a big increase in the number of summonses issued for adults not wearing seatbelts. Even more worrying is the fivefold increase in the number of cases of children not being buckled up. With this in mind, DirectAsia.com has teamed up with Singapore actor Adrian Pang and his family to produce a series of safety videos.
The first in the series focuses on the need to wear seat belts and features Adrian Pang with his sons Xander and Zachary whilst mum, Tracie Pang, directs and produces.

Doing our bit for the environment
At DirectAsia.com we feel we have a responsibility to minimise the impact we have on our environment. That's why we are implementing environmentally sound practices whenever we can.
Here's how:
Paperless. All our systems are designed to minimise the use of paper. As an online insurer, we don't use a lot and we'll recycle any waste paper that we do.
Good car workshop practice. Our do not allow outdoor spray painting. This can only be carried out in booths.
Good disposal methods. Our approve workshops use proper disposal methods of damaged car parts through their scrap dealers.
Repair rather than replace damaged parts. We make windscreen repair a first option rather than replacing it. Disposing of a damaged windscreen simply increases the amount of waste.
Encouraging our partners to go green. We encourage all our service providers to reduce, reuse and recycle in their business practices
